Thank you for choosing our home for your place to stay. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we have. This was our first home we lived in together, and where our child, River, lived for the first two years of his life! We’ve worked hard to create a beautiful and relaxing experience for you, and truly love offering it as a place for people to stay during their visit to Traverse City.

This is the perfect spot to enjoy all that Traverse City and the surrounding areas have to offer. You're near town, but also close to all the beauty of Leelanau county.

Enjoy!

Family Friendly: We have amenities for infants and babies including outlet covers, baby gates, a high chair, pack n play, and toys. Toddler cups, silverware, plates and bowls are found in the kitchen.

Kitchen Amenities: Our kitchen is fully equipped and suited for guests to stay and prepare full meals. Some items include a Ninja blender, 4-slice toaster, drip coffee maker, French press, food processor, plenty of pots, pans, baking sheets, cupcake tins, tea kettle, crock pot, cheese grater, casserole dishes, mandolin slicer, large glass serving bowls, measuring cups and spoons, bar glasses (margarita, martini, wine), martini shaker, Pyrex & storage containers, and more.

There are 2 full-sized fridges (one in the kitchen, one in the garage) plus a mini fridge in the lower level.

House Rules:
● No parties
● No smoking
● Pets allowed: 1 dog
● Please be respectful of our township’s quiet hours: 10pm - 7am
● Please be respectful of our home and treat it with care

How to Use Appliances:
● Dishwasher: Buttons are on the top of the door when you pull the door toward you. Select the cycle you want, hit start, then power. It’s very quiet, and the auto and normal cycles take longer than 2 hours. Dishwasher tablets are under the sink.
● Washer/dryer are in the basement. Pretty self-explanatory and easy to use.
● Thermostat is a Nest smart thermostat located in the upper level living room. We don’t have central air or air conditioning. Our house is surrounded by trees so stays very cool most of the time throughout the summer. In the 5 years we lived here, we only wished we had a/c for about 3 weeks total! It stays very cool, and all the windows can be opened for a nice breeze. If the weather gets in the 90s, keep all the windows shut during the day and open them at night.
● Coffee machine: the filter is reusable; simply add coffee to the filter, water to the reservoir, and press the Brew/Off button.

TVs & Speakers:
● 2 smart 4K TVs, 1 in the upper-level bedroom, 1 in the lower-level living room, with various streaming services available for you to sign in with your username/password including Disney+ package that includes Hulu and ESPN, as well as Netflix, HBO and Amazon
● 4 Google Home mini smart speakers available, 1 in the kitchen and 1 in the lower level bedroom. Use the commands “Hey Google” or “OK Google” to ask questions or play music

Emergencies: Should an emergency occur, please call 911. Fire extinguishers are located under the sink and in the garage. There are smoke/carbon monoxide detectors on each house level (dining room, upper living room, lower living room).

Checkout: Check-out by 10am
** The cleaners are on a tight schedule so there is a fee (from the cleaners) if you are late checking out.**

Please do these quick things before Check Out:
● Place your rinsed dishes into the dishwasher and start a wash cycle before you leave
● Empty all trash cans and put trash in the large trash bin outside
● Cover L-shaped sofa and place cushions in the deck box
● Place any used towels on the floor
