Leelanau County Fun!

Lake Leelanau: If you can tear yourself away from the cottage or simply want to explore a bit, head to town! Lake Leelanau is to the left. A local grocery store called NJ's is located in town and is great for the “little” things. India’s Kitchen (in the grocery) makes the best Indian food in the area. A right turn will take you to Suttons Bay.

Suttons Bay: Find great shops, galleries, and restaurants in cute downtown Sutton's Bay. Hansen's is a great spot for groceries.

***Downtown offers a sandy public beach with a playground, great for the whole family!

You definitely want to check out a vacation favorite Hop Lot, an outdoor Brew Pub with great locally brewed beverages, food, s’mores, and a fun area for kids to roam & play.

If you are interested in trying local Cider's Sutton's Bay Ciders off M22 south of Suttons Bay is the place to be! This Cider House offers fantastic views of the Bay.

Leland and Fish Town: You have to experience it for yourself! Try our favorite spot PICNIC for an ice cream treat or anything you may need for hosting a party or family bbq! Grab a delicious sandwich from Village Cheese Shanty, or dinner at The Cove known for there famous chub fish Bloody Mary’s and delicious smoked white fish dip!

***Head out on a beautiful drive to explore Northport and the Lighthouse State Park, you won't be disappointed!

Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes: Located about 45 minutes away with Glen Arbor located on the way. This is one of the most visited National Parks in the United States with excellent hiking and beaches to enjoy! Glen Arbor is a charming town with great food and shopping. Boonedocks is a favorite restaurant with great food & live music on weekends.

Fisherman’s Corner: There is a wide variety of fish in the lake, including Walleye, Pike, Smallies, Perch and Rock Bass. Paddletail jigs work well for the perch, rock bass, and small mouth. Walleye and pike prefer rapalas and spoons. Weed beds are always good for smallies when using tube jigs. Make sure to use weedless hooks and heads when fishing near the logs.
