Check-In: 4 pm (Early Check-in is not possible due to our cleaning crew needing to complete their work)
Check-Out: 10 am (We're unable to accommodate late check-out, our cleaning service will arrive at the house promptly at 10 am)

Parking:
Parking is free for 1 vehicle in the lot. We are only given one space. Extra parking is available on the side streets (first come first serve), or in a city parking garage (map).

Entry:
You will enter the building using code "XXXX". Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor. Walk down to the end of the hallway to unit "XXX". Our unit door code is XXXX.

Quiet Hours:
We ask that you please respect the residents in the building and neighboring units. Quiet hours are from 10 pm - 7 am. Have fun and enjoy, but do so respectfully :)

Wi-Fi & TV Assistance:
Use the remote for most operations on the TV. We have the TV set up to the Wi-Fi so all you need to do is log into your streaming apps of choice. Just remember to log out!

Trash & Recycling:
Please bag all trash and make use of the bins in our parking lot.

Coffee:
We provide coffee, filters, cream & sugar with a standard coffee pot for your use.

Cooking oils and spices (and salt & pepper) can be found in the cupboards.

Pillows & Blankets:
Extra pillows and blankets can be found in the closets of each bedroom.


Laundry:
The laundry unit is in the kitchen and is available for your use!
*If needed, ironing board can be found in the bedroom closet.

Check-Out:
Before checking out we ask that you:


  • Please wash all used dishes (just load the dishwasher and run it)

  • Strip all the beds (put the sheets at the foot of the beds)

  • Remove all food from the refrigerator & freezer

  • Take trash/ recycling to bins located at the west end of our parking lot

  • Close and lock all doors & windows.

Please collect all garbage and dispose in the trash dumpster near the Randolph Street entrance
Please collect all bed linen and towels and place near the laundry area in two separate piles

Cleaning Supplies
Your unit has specific cleaning solutions we have provided for you under the kitchen sink. Please do not use different solutions than these for cleaning the unit’s surfaces.
Dish detergent and dish washer detergent are found in the kitchen sink cabinet as well.
Laundry detergent is found in the laundry room area.

Outdoor Fire Pit
The outdoor fire pit, located along the Randolph Street side, is for your enjoyment.
To use, go to the keypad under the sign on the wall and press the code 1523#.
Be sure the red “STOP” button to the left of the key bad is out by turning it clockwise.
To stop the fire, press the red “STOP” button in.

Parking
Near this letter, you’ll find the parking pass associated with your unit. Please have your pass visible in the front windshield of your vehicle during your stay.
There is only 1 parking spot per unit available. For additional parking spots, you may try the metered parking on Randolph or Bay Streets or the non-metered spots on Maple Street. For parking rules and information for the City of Traverse City, visit www.tinyurl.com/TCParkingInfo
Please be sure to leave your parking pass on the counter of your kitchen upon your departure.
Failure to leave it will result in a $50 replacement fee.

Pets/Smoking/Noise and Fireworks
539 Bay Street is 100% pet free. Units with evidence of a pet will be charged a $250 cleaning fee.
The entire property, balconies, patios, outdoor spaces, etc is smoke free. No smoking of any kind is acceptable.
Failure to respect this policy may result in a $500 cleaning fee.

Buritt’s Markets – great location for fresh meat, fish, and a variety of high-quality foods, including alcohol.
Folgarelli’s – Italian market with a full deli known for their fresh cheeses, sliced meats, wine, and more.

Tom’s Food Market West Bay – a go-to for everything from snacks, meal-planning, paper products, etc.

Traverse City Noise and Firework Ordinance Summary

Fireworks
Prohibition on use of consumer fireworks. No person shall ignite, discharge or use Consumer Fireworks within the city, except this prohibition shall not preclude any person from igniting, discharging and using Consumer Fireworks on the following days after 11:00 a.m.:
(1)  December 31 until 1:00 a.m. on January 1;
(2)  The Saturday and Sunday immediately preceding Memorial Day until 11:45 p.m. on each of those days;
(3)  June 29 to July 4 until 11:45 p.m. on each of those days;
(4)  July 5, if that date is a Friday or Saturday, until 11:45 p.m.;
(5)  The Saturday and Sunday immediately preceding Labor Day until 11:45 p.m. on each of those days.
Noise Control
652.04 - Prohibitions.
(a)  Generally. No person shall unreasonably make or continue, or cause to be made or continued, any noise disturbance.
(b)  Radios, musical instruments and similar devices. No person shall operate or play, or permit the operation or playing of, any radio, television, phonograph, drum, musical instrument, sound amplifier or similar device which produces, reproduces or amplifies sound in such a manner as to:
(1)  Create a noise disturbance on public property or streets, across a real property boundary, or within a noise sensitive zone. If such a device is plainly audible on the property of another or within a building other than that within which the device is located, and if a complaint is made to the Noise Control Officer regarding annoyance or disturbance as a result of such device, this shall serve as prima-facie evidence of a violation.
(2)  Create a noise disturbance when operated in or on a motor vehicle on a public right of way, public space or space open to the general public, or in a boat on public waters. If such a device is plainly audible at a distance of 50 feet in any direction, between the hours of 10;00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. or 100 feet in any direction between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., this shall serve as prima facie evidence of a violation.
(c)  Loudspeakers. No person shall use or operate for any noncommercial purpose any loudspeaker, public address system or similar device between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. of the following day so that the sound there from creates a noise disturbance across a residential area or multi-family area boundary or within a noise sensitive zone. No person shall use or operate for any commercial purpose any loudspeaker, public address system or similar device so that the sound there from creates a noise disturbance across a real property boundary or within a noise sensitive zone, or between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. of the following day on a public right of way or public space.
(d)  Sound amplifiers. No person shall operate any sound amplifying device for the purpose of advertising announcing an event, or attracting the attention of the public. However, a school, governmental unit, or bona fide nonprofit organization may secure a permit from the Noise Control Officer to use such a device. No permit will be granted for such use on a Sunday or at any other time or duration or under any other conditions which, in the opinion of the Noise Control Officer will constitute a nuisance.
