Welcome to Dune Hideaway! We are so glad you chose our cottage for your vacation. It is truly our pleasure to share this little piece of paradise with you.

This quiet neighborhood is located along the shores of Little Glen Lake, less than a mile from Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore. Our cottage offers an on-site boat rental (contact BVR for rates), great swimming, incredible sunsets, and friendly neighbors! The other homes are mostly residential, so we kindly ask you to respect them during your stay.

Check-In: 4pm (Early check in is only available upon approval from Bayshore Vacations, please message us for assistance.)

Please do not park on the septic field, which is the raised ground area between the red shed and backside of the home, it is marked clearly to avoid. Due to the septic system, we also ask that you do not flush anything other than toilet paper (please do not flush tampons). Please contact BVR Management with any questions at 231-268-0145.

Entry: Please enter through the front door via keypad code. The entry code will be sent to you one hour before your check in time of 4pm.

Wifi name: Spectrum setup69
Wifi Password: nextdinner950

TV: We have a smart TV in each room of the cottage. Please use the remote to log into your Netflix, Hulu, and other accounts of your choice. Please ensure you are logged out at the time of check out.

Air Conditioning/Heat: We provide AC via window units in the bedrooms. We ask that you be mindful of using the heat in the winter and the AC in the summer, as we try to be as eco-friendly as we can be and ask you to do the same while staying in our home. *Please keep doors closed when using air/heat and utilize the ceiling and standing fans to make yourself even more comfortable.

Trash & Recycling: Please make sure all trash and recycling is taken out of the home, bagged and fits in the trash bins outside. Please take the trash bins to the top of the hill and set next to the road for pick-up. If you are staying until Wednesday, please make sure to bring the bins to the top of the road by Tuesday evening, as the service will arrive early Wednesday morning. Failure to out all trash and recycling in the bins provided, or failure to take the trash to the top of the hill on Tuesday night, may result in an additional fee.

Patio Furniture/Grill:The patio and deck space with the grill is for your use. If you use the backup propane please let management know so they can bring another back up.*Please be mindful to clean up food outside and on the porch, as leftovers may attract wildlife.

Dock: Please use the dock freely! Unless you are renting the boat, do not use or sit on or use the boat for liability purposes. Do not leave chairs on the dock overnight as they could be blown into the lake. Please be mindful of any trash and snacks being eaten outside so wrappers do not end up in the lake.

Pontoon boat: If you are interested in renting the pontoon, please contact Bayshore Vacations via message. This is not included in the rental rate and is an additional cost. Please know there is a liability waiver and agreement to sign prior to renting. All guests should wear a lifejacket when partaking in water sports activities. In Michigan, all children under 13 MUST have a life jacket on at all times in a boat.

Quiet Hours: We ask that you abide by quiet hours (after 10:00pm and before 8:00am). Please do not leave furniture or belongings on the dock or boat overnight, they tend to get blown into the water.

Fire Pit: A fire outside by the lake is one of our favorite evening activities, so feel free to take advantage of it. We’ve left some wood for you either next to the pit or next to the shed near the back deck. This is hard wood and needs kindling to get started. If you find you need more wood, many local gas stations and nearby roadside stands provide bundles for purchase! At times there is a fire advisory in effect in the warmer weather so please keep the flames low and make sure the fire is completely out before you pack it in for the evening. Please never leave the fire unattended.

Outdoor Shower: We hope you'll enjoy our outdoor shower!! This is a great option to clean off before coming inside for the night! We do ask that if you use the shower, to please ensure the water is fully shut off when you're done!

Outdoor & Water Toys: You will find a variety of life jackets in the storage shed next to the deck, along with a variety of yard and water toys including 2 kayaks and 1 paddleboat. Please remember that in Michigan, all children under 13 MUST have a life jacket on at all times in a boat. Please bring the kayaks and paddleboat well up onto the shore in the evening and let the life jackets dry out before returning them to the shed so they don’t get musty.

Nature: Our property is home to many lovely creatures from baby ducklings to fish and turtles. Please respect nature and be careful not to damage anything. Please keep the doors/screens closed to keep nature (bugs, critters) outside. No hunting is allowed on the property.
